Norsh Brand and Trademark Usage Guidelines

Introduction#

These guidelines define how third parties may reference or interact with Norsh brand assets. “Brand Assets” include logos, names, icons, designs, symbols, product and service names, graphic elements, and any other intellectual property associated with Norsh, whether registered or not.
Use of these assets must follow these rules. Non-compliance or misuse may result in Norsh revoking permissions, requiring removal, and taking administrative or legal action.

Examples of Uses Covered by These Guidelines#

References to Norsh software, products, or integrations in informational materials, provided there is no suggestion of affiliation, endorsement, or formal partnership unless such a relationship exists.
Statements regarding technical compatibility or integration with Norsh solutions.

Examples of Brand Assets Requiring Formal Authorization#

Norsh logo.
Product icons and graphical identifiers.
Partner badges, certified provider seals, or relationship badges.
Use of logos or icons in promotional, commercial, app, website, merchandise, packaging, or marketing materials.

Permitted Practices (Dos)#

State, clearly and objectively, compatibility or technical interoperability:
“System X is compatible with Norsh blockchain.”
“This service integrates features from the Norsh Ledger.”
Refer to Norsh to explain technical characteristics:
“Product A uses digital asset registration via Norsh.”
Use the “Norsh” name as an adjective, never as a noun or verb:
“Transactions via the Norsh protocol.”
Use Norsh product or technology names in article titles, releases, if truthful and not misleading:
“Norsh releases new standard for digital asset registration.”
Use textual references without altering Norsh product or technology names.
State, where applicable, that requirements for interoperability, privacy, or compliance have been met according to Norsh standards.
Include a trademark notice in the footer:
“Norsh and other names are trademarks of Norsh.”

Restrictions and Prohibitions (Don’ts)#

Do not use logos, icons, images, symbols, or any graphical elements of Norsh without explicit license.
Do not use Norsh brand assets in the name of your company, product, service, app, domain, social media account, or any other identifier.
Do not create the impression of affiliation, partnership, endorsement, certification, sponsorship, or approval by Norsh unless formally granted.
Do not alter, animate, distort, or modify Norsh brand assets (e.g., combinations, misspellings, slogans, parodies).
Do not use brand assets as nouns or verbs:
“Norsh your business,” “Do a Norsh.”
Do not use brand assets in entertainment titles, publications, physical products, packaging, or promotional materials.
Do not register trademarks, domains, or any other rights using terms identical or similar to Norsh assets.
Do not use brand assets in user group names, technical communities, clubs, even if non-profit.
Do not use brand assets in any third-party material that could cause confusion or dilute the value of the Norsh brand.

Application Guidelines#

Developer name, app name, logo, and all visual elements must be your own. No Norsh graphic references.
Textual use can mention compatibility or integration, but never suggest endorsement or authorship by Norsh.
Approved example:
Developer: AlphaTech
App Name: CertiLedger
Description: “Integrates with the Norsh blockchain for immutable document records.”
Not approved:
Developer: NorshApp Corp
App Name: Norsh Wallet
Use of Norsh logo or icon or any variation.

Specific Brand Asset Guidance#

Certain assets may have additional requirements. See the official documentation for detailed usage requirements in integration, branding, or disclosure scenarios.

Copyrighted Content#

The use of Norsh content, images, videos, screenshots, or protected materials is subject to separate rules, available at docs.norsh.org/copyright.

Legal Notice#

All use of Norsh brand assets accrues solely to Norsh. Third parties, including licensees, may not claim ownership or use confusingly similar assets in any manner. Breach of these guidelines may result in revoked permissions or other consequences.
Norsh reserves the right to change, revoke, or modify any permission to use its brand assets at any time, without notice.

Resources#

If a situation is not addressed in these guidelines, formal consultation and prior approval from Norsh are required.
