NCL-8: Educational Use Permission

NCL-8: Educational Use Permission#

Permission is granted to use the licensed material, commercially or non-commercially, for educational purposes, subject to the following conditions:

1. Scope#

The material may be used to:
Deliver courses, whether free or paid.
Write books, articles, or other educational content.
Produce videos or other materials aimed at educating users.
Educational activities may target any level of education, including informal education, primary and secondary education, university degrees, and specialized training.

2. No Additional Restrictions#

No additional restrictions may be imposed on the educational use of the material beyond those defined in this rule, unless specified by other NCL rules included in the license composition.

3. Transparency in Derivatives#

Derivative works created for educational purposes must:
Clearly credit the original author or rights holder where applicable.
Not issue certificates or endorsements in the name of the original author or project without explicit authorization.

4. Disclaimer#

This rule permits educational use of the material but does not authorize any use that misrepresents the author’s endorsement or involvement in educational activities, as outlined in NCL-0 and NCL-2.
Note: NCL-8 must always be combined with NCL-0 and and NCL-2, and may coexist with other rules in the NCL framework to define broader or narrower permissions.
