NCL-64: Restricted or Authorized Derivatives

NCL-64: Restricted or Authorized Derivatives#

Permission is granted to create derivative works based on the licensed material only under specific conditions outlined below.

1. Scope#

Derivative works may only be created if:
Explicit authorization is obtained from the original author or rights holder.
The derivative serves a purpose approved by the author or rights holder.
Unauthorized modifications or adaptations of the material are strictly prohibited.

2. No Additional Restrictions#

No additional restrictions may be imposed on derivative works beyond those defined in this rule, unless specified by other NCL rules included in the license composition.

3. Transparency in Derivatives#

Authorized derivative works must:
Clearly document the relationship to the original material.
Include visible attribution to the original author or rights holder.
Specify the scope of modifications and their alignment with the granted authorization.

4. Disclaimer#

This rule does not grant automatic rights to create derivatives. Any derivative work without prior authorization will constitute a violation of the license terms, as outlined in NCL-0.
Note: NCL-64 must always be combined with NCL-0 and may coexist with other rules in the NCL framework to define broader or narrower permissions.
