NCL-2: Restricted Commercialization

NCL-2: Restricted Commercialization#

Permission is granted to use and distribute the licensed material; however, commercialization is strictly prohibited without the explicit consent of the author or rights holder.

1. Scope#

The material may not be used for direct or indirect commercial purposes without prior written authorization from the author or rights holder.
Commercial use includes any activity that involves monetary transactions, regardless of whether the objective is profitable or not, even if explored by non-profit entities.

2. No Additional Restrictions#

No additional restrictions may be imposed on the material’s non-commercial use beyond those defined in this rule, unless specified by other NCL rules included in the license composition.

3. Transparency in Derivatives#

Derivative works may only be created and distributed for non-commercial purposes unless explicitly approved for commercialization by the author or rights holder. All approvals must be transparently documented and disclosed.

4. Disclaimer#

This rule does not imply any automatic right to commercialize the material. Any attempts at commercialization, including by non-profit entities, without prior consent will violate the terms of the license, as outlined in NCL-0.
Note: NCL-2 must always be combined with NCL-0 and may coexist with other rules in the NCL framework to define broader or narrower permissions.
